Kenichi Yokono

A lot of printing blocks are not printed. It is because of being to sublime
my favorite pencil line. Woodblocks are picture and also like sculpture.
I draw the picture because of imagining it. It is drawn in a small note
pad, and redraws it greatly while seeing it. Many negative image like blood, injured person, skull etc. are sometime felt beautiful like horror comic or movie. In the motif used several times repeatedly, they are only to express me in my painting, and they are coming from daily inspirations for me. Can imagine by such a thing, and can keep drawing. One of reasons that I use to paint Red is : because Red is strongest like blood. Another is because it is similar to the chop : it is signature stamp. Japanese immediately associate this red curving with the chop.
